I wake up at 4am.
Pray for 15. Meditate for 15. Read for 30.
Supercharge with two 8-ounce cups of organic fair-trade Venezuelan light roast coffee.
Get my personal trainer designed hybrid athlete workout in.
Eat 10 tablespoons (20 grams of protein) of locally grown egg whites and a full amino profile animal protein shake (24 grams of protein) with my daily greens and simple carbohydrate complex to replenish liver glycogen.
Get a cold shower in to stimulate my immune system and for other ancillary benefits.
All this before the house is stirring.
Then the day begins.
I complete a specific list of marketing activities for my company.
I update systems that need modification.
I work with 1-2 clients on their strategic goals.
I analyze and improve financial metrics through operating KPIs.
Then, at 3:30pm I round out the day with a list of phone calls (professional and personal).
By 5pm I begin preparing a healthy dinner for my family.
After dinner at 6pm, while my children are cleaning the kitchen, I have conversation with my wife over a cup of tea.
Then I have 45 minutes of individual time with each of my children.
I am under the covers and sleeping by 9pm because science has proven this is optimal.
Grateful. Smiling. Amazed that I get to live this life.
🙄🙄🙄
Except ...
That’s a picture-perfect day that I have YET to live!
IN REALITY … I'm pretty focused, disciplined and consistent.
But IN REALITY ...
Sometimes, I let my body wake me up and do pretty much everything else when I feel like it.
Because I have built a business that earns me that luxury.
Sometimes missing out on what’s most important.
Sometimes forgetting to do anything I originally set out to do that day.
Too much scrolling, too much TV, too much thinking. No workout, lots of food, feeling like a TURD.
BUT …
It’s important to remember that WE ARE NOT ROBOTS!
No one is PERFECT!
The BAD days help us to appreciate the GOOD days!
So, appreciate the BAD days TOO!
Don’t BEAT YOURSELF UP for not being PERFECT!
Work toward doing BETTER and UNCOVER YOUR BEST!
This is called RESILIENCE.
And it prepares us for the MARATHON of life!
If you arent where you want to be today
